I think it was the VPC console showing the (unchanging) thumbnail of the
VPC as it was when it went into saved state that made me wonder if it was
*possibly* in a very low level idle. Also, the fact that when it is
reactivated it does not have to boot -- which of course is what 'saved
state' should do.
(When I cut text, does it *really* fall into the bottom of the monitor
case? Should I occasionally clean it out?)

Understandable, it really doesn't say what happens in a saved state, I
didn't think it was an odd question at all.

It takes years to accumulate enough to need to clean it out, that text
is *really* flat. <g>
