Has anyone else seen system freezes when running Virtual PC 2004 on a
Dell Latitude laptop? My system freezes when I go from AC to DC power
or when I simply close the lid. I have configured XP to do nothing
when I close the lid, but it hasn't helped the situation. I have also
altered some bios settings to prevent the processor from changing
speeds....still no resolution. I am assuming the problem stems from
how the laptop handles processor speed changes and power source
changes. Dell has not acknowledged the problem but I have spoken with
some Microsoft folks that have seen the problem. Any fixes?

Jimmy,

Guess where I work :-). Anyway I have seen this problem
as well and it only seems to happen if I disconnect more
than one thing at a time. What I typically do now is
disconnect the external power, wait a couple seconds,
then unplug my usb devices. Same thing in the reverse
order.
