I built a new XP SP1 VM using RIS, everything works fine sysprep'd it and
ghosted it to a file.

I then used the ghost image to load a phisycal machine, and everything works
fine except the physical machine keeps detecting a Virtual PC mouse device
and wants to install a driver.

Why? Any attempt to delete the device results in a total loss of mouse.

Anybody shine some light into this?

TIA

Geoff

Hi,

I haven't personally tried it, but I wonder what would happen if you added
the -pnp switch to sysprep

I would also recommend uninstalling the additions before attempting this.
