Hi,
I have converted my old Win NT 4.0 installation in a virtual harddrive.
Booting the machine I want to install a resonable grafic device, add a NIC,
soundcard so., ...
Is there a list of the haradware emulation of a virtual pc?
The NiC ist a INtel/DEC 21140a, I found in this news group.
Any hints welcome...

Virtual PC help file clearly states the hardware emulated by Virtual PC,
down to the chipsets.
Virtual PC is about emulating specific hardware for the purposes of running
all kinds of software. It is not about emulating different types of
hardware devices so that you can mix/match hardware.
So, you only have one choice of NIC, video card, soundcard, etc inside the
Virtual Machine. Virtual PC adapts them to use the host's HW.

Hi,
As David explained, there is only one set of hardware in any given VM. The
more complete list is available here:

This is what I am asking for.
In dokumentation is nothing a bout hardware...
Perhaps a spezific german version problem?
BTW:
Installing Addons will crash the instanz. ntldr was missing after rebooting.
Is there a problem with Addons and Win NT 4.0?

The list of emulated hardware is certainly in the English
VPC Help. I don't have access to the German version, but
it seems very odd that they would take out an entire
section of the Help file.
