Ah, the miracle mile, where value wears a neon sombrero and there's
not a single church or library to offend the eye.
This is happening to me with the bad username/password when I'm trying to
authenticate. I can't take it, it's driving me mad...I've tried every
password combination I have ever used practically, and nothing works, no
matter what, so I can't get Virtual PC to run. I've tried uninstalling and
reinstalling, but that doesn't even come close to solving the problem.
There has to be a way to get around this or fix it. There just has to be.

There doesn't seem to be enough information here to work with. :-(
VPC has no user name and password, so I assume you've already created your
VM and are attempting to use a network connection to log on to another
machine or server?
If this is the case, there are an thousands of things that it could be...
What OS have you loaded on your VM?
What network protocols have you loaded (TCP/NETBUEI/IPX)?
What are you attempting to connect to (Server Domain/Workstation Share)?
Does the HOST machine VPC is running on have a working network connection to
this device/share?
