First off, is this the Mac version of Virtual PC, if so, you need to
ask this in the Mac newsgroup. microsoft.public.mac.virtualpc
If it's VPC 2007, then we need some more information, what host OS are
you running, what guest OS, and how do you have your networking set up
for the VM?

Have you actually installed an operating system on your newly created
virtual machine? It is just the same as a brand new PC built from
parts (motherboard, memory, graphics card, CDR, hard disk) and needs
an operating system to be installed.
Read the VPC2007 helpfiles.
