Just installed x64 onto a intel 945g chipset, everything is ok apart  from
the audio which I cannot get to work. Under device manager / system devices
"microsoft uaa bus driver for high definition audio" there is a yellow (!)
Everytime I try to install the latest audio file from intels website, I get
"error in installation, unknown error"
The audio uses a sigmatel 9220 codec

ps had the same problem with my sony laptop(32bit), and this was fixed by
intel's realtek high def codec.

Please help !!!!

I was just about to post the same (almost) topic....i have Intel 915PGN
mobo...xp 64,i had no problem what so ever with the audio drivers until
today, ive installed Avast anti-virus (although i dont know if Avast is to
blame,i could have had this problem earlier on today but i didnt notice),and
now i get the same thing you get,a problem with Microsoft UAA Bus Driver for
High Definition Audio (hdaudbus.sys)..error code 37..same yellow (!).

Ive tried to to install the new driver from Intel's site...nothing..tried to
uninstalled
Microsoft UAA Bus Driver for High Definition Audio from the device manager
and let it look for it...same thing.

I need help too :(

Suggest you uninstall Avast for a start.  It has shutdown problems for some
and may have a conflict here.  You can reinstall it quickly if that isn't
the problem.  (Easier would be a restore if you have a convenient restore
point.  Just undo the restore if it doesn't help

Guess that leaves uninstalling AVAST   Could be a run time conflict.

I've got the same problem with a D945GCZ Mobo

This machine is new to me, so it;s no big deal to do a fresh install.

as a test, i did a dual boot of x32 and x64.

In x32 everything works great all audio is working find

but in X64 im getting the same error as before  i reinstalled.

microsoft uaa bus driver for high definition audio Error 37

there must have been a patch yesterday that changed something

Chaps,

Just had this thread pointed out to me. I know this sounds silly, buy could
you try setting your date to 31st July and then reboot and see if your sound
card "magically" reappears?

I posted this down in a different thread on the same group:

I've got the same problem, microsoft uaa bus driver for high definition
audio, error 37.

Intel D945GCZ board. I did a reinstall (this time with a dual boot x32 and
x64)

x32 has no problems Audio is just fine.

x64 im still getting the error. I'm assuming a patch went down yesterday
that changed something in hdaudbus.sys.

I'm going to try replacing the file with one pre change.

I'll let you know

Thankyou for all the feedback I googled "hdaudbus.sys" which to me to this
link :

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=0E850506-50EE-4458-902F
-F9FC59201B04&displaylang=en

After installing this I was asked to reboot (still no sound) then when I got
back into windows, new hardware was found and when the o/s could not find
the driver I installed the audio driver from the intel website which sorted
everything.  Hope this helps

Hi everyone,

Really sorry to bring up an old thread, but I am experiencing this
problem on my X64 SP2 machine. I can't apply that update because it
says that SP2 already includes it, but my computer doesn't have any
audio! I really need a fix for this as soon as possible. :)

Please help!

Tom :)
