How can I tell if this version will work on my computer? I have an AMD 64 processor. Will it work?

Ryan,

Your processor is compatible. The crucial points are your devices, i.e.
drives, graphic cards, sound, etc.
Check whether the vendors provide 64 bit device drivers.

To add to Klaus' recommendations, get all the 64 bit drivers burned
onto a single disc. This way you're only searching one disc, and when
you're done, you can neatly tuck it away with your OS disc.
