Hi,

I'm having trouble locating the basic startup step by step
instructions needed to reinstall Win 95 from the DOS
emergency recovery disk.

I can see my a: floppy drive and c: HD but not the D:
CDROM drive ( I have the win95 setup CDs ).

Could someone provide me with a pointer on where to start?

Thanks.

Try creating a boot floppy with CD drivers.

There is a file in the root of your harddrive (hidden) that is called
'msdos.sys'.

There should be a line here wich says:
BootGUI=1

Replace this with:
BootGUI=0

You should now, when you turn on you computer go streight to DOS 7.0

If you then want to go into Windows95 just type in 'win' at the pront

I hope this can help
