I ran fdisk and started to install win 95; everything was
going great. the install got to the point were it
said "running window for the first time," then I get the
error message "Cannot find device file that may be needed
for run windows or a windows application.
The windows registry of SYSTEM.INI file refers to this
device file, but the device file no longer exists.
If you deleted this file on purpose, try uninstalling the
associated application using its uninstall or setup
program.
If you still want to use the application associated with
this device file, try reinstalling that application to
replace the missing file." As you can probably tell I am
not very good at this. Please tell me what to do about
this new error message.

Try extracting a fresh copy of the file from your Windows 95
CD into the "c:\windows\system\vmm32" folder.
