mouse will not work anymore

was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to get my
mouse to work again, i handed down my old hp to my kids
for gaming and b4 i did so i ran a wipe drive to clear
the hard drive to make it run faster and in the process i
lost the drivers to make my mouse work. if anyone can
help i would appriciate it hate to throw my old pc out
because the mouse wond work

Windows 95 has built-in drivers for most serial and PS/2 mice.  Does your
mouse require a driver from the maker of the mouse?
