settting up windows 95 from MS dos

i have been trying to set up windows 95 from a Cd rom
from a pc i bought. the pre owner delete a lot of windows
material. when i start the Pc and put in the CD
type cd c:\windows
it gets to C/ windows
then when i type set up;
it tells me
this program cannot run without microsoft windows

apparently it seem the windows is not available on the
machine

To install Windows you should be typing

x:\Setup

where x is the drive letter of the CD-ROM drive.  To see the drive letter of
the CD-ROM drive watch the startup procedure very carefully - there will be
a message about the drive letter that was assigned.

If the CD is not being installed then try a new boot disk from
www.bootdisk.com.  These bootdisks usually use R for the CD-ROM drive
letter.
