my product id has a 999 in the second set of numbers
but the cd has oem can I use it?
Did I keep the wrong cd when I got rid of my old one?

No, I don't think that you can use the CD. If one thing says 999 and the other says OEM, then it won't work. The 999 and OEM stands fo rthe model number. You should also never throw away old windows CD's. You might need them
