I doubt that the disk started Windows - I think it would have got DOS
running for you.
The message suggests that the compression driver (eg, drvspace.bin) is
damaged. Is the hard drive compressed?
Before trying to deal with this (or any other) problem you need to confirm
that the disk is now operating correctly. When you have done that, you need
to investigate the extent of the damage to the disk file system, and work
out a procedure to repair it.
Disk drive diagnostics can be used to confirm that the hard drive is working
correctly. If it isn't, proceed with extreme caution, as anything you do to
the hard drive might make recovery of your data impossible. If it is
working OK, you can use Scandisk to test the file system. Do not let
Scandisk repair anything, as it's possible that an attempted repair just
makes things worse. You can also do simple tests like
DIR C: to see a list of the disk contents, or
C:
CD \Windows to see if the file system is intact.
When you know that the disk is operating OK and you know that the file
system is OK, you can address the problem of the compression driver.

that error occurs if the compression driver on the floppy is from a
different
version on the hd...it may be ignored
if the drive is not compressed
to eliminate it...just delete the .bin file
