My computer has two hard drives in it. It has Windows NT
OS, I want to put Windows 95 in it. Can I move NT to the
D drive (second hard drive) and install win 95 in C? Or
install 95 in C and fix it to boot up in 95?
The easiest way to move NT to the second hard drive would be to swap the
drives between master and slave. If they are jumpered as master/slave then
just change the jumpers, if they use cable select then swap the cable
connections.
Once the drive without NT is the primary drive you can partition it and
install W95. This will give you access to the other drive as a data drive.
If you install a boot manager (best done as part of the partitioning
process) then you can choose whether you boot to W95 or NT.
Note: An NT system might be set up with NTFS partitions. If so, then W95
will not see the partitions at all. This means that if you boot to W95
(with or without a boot manager) you won't be able to see that second drive,
and it means that when you come to partition the primary drive you must
remove all existing partitions from the drive before you create new ones for
W95.
