I have a couple of bad floppies in my win 95 package I need to replace.
Dose anyone know if replacements can be had at this point in time? Thanks...

What I'd do is first copy all the diskettes to a location on the HD
(each diskette to its own dir, i.e. C:\STORAGE\WIN95\DISK1 etc.), so
you could see what files aren't copyable due to disk defects.

Then I'd look for a Windows CD (must be the exact same version!), copy
over the missing files, and clear the read-only attributes.

Then I'd run Setup from the HD images of the diskette set, and step
through from there.  If I needed a diskette set (as opposed to the
CD), I'd probably have to find a utility that can format diskettes to
the non-standard higher-capacity DMF format MS tended to use in those
days (about 1.7M per diskette).

Finally, from that point on, I'd keep all those diskettes
write-protected at all times, and away from magnetic fields (speakers,
microphones, power supplies, motors, monitors etc.)

I would also like to find a set of floppies.  I have 95 on
CD, but just got an old laptop and need the floppies to
install it.  Thanks!

I'm having the same problems with one of my 3.5 floppy.  I can't load it back onto and old desktop for a friend's kid to play with.  Let me know if you have any luck getting some disks.  I need number 2 but as far as I know the rest are ok
