system in suspend mode

IBM laptop #760EL (type 9547U4G) is in suspend mode. (Scan
disk) The system stopped responding, no cursor on screen,
no keyboard or mouse response. Need Win 95 boot or start
disk or instruction. Unable to properly shut down or
restart. Need HELP asap. Tx

For most laptops, the solution to get out of a stuck suspend mode is to
disconnect the power, and remove the battery for a few minutes.  Reinstall
the battery, reconnect the AC, and start normally.
