upgrade to win 98

I am trying to upgrade from win 95 to win98. When I try
to load win 98 from a disk it says " operating system
already installed. Can't install with this set-up.
Download win 98 upgrade and try again. I don't know what
this means and can't find exactally that file at the
microsoft site.

In the windows folder...rename the file win.com

boot with a cd support bootfloppy and be sure to reinstall back
in your original windows folder ( usually c:\windows) watch
carefully as the installer will prob as if you want to install in
C:\windows.000

opt for "other folder" then specify c:\windows
