Windows Forum / Windows 95 / January 2004Reinstalling Win95... two questions
I'm about to reinstall Windows 95, and I've got a couple of questions I'd appreciate an answer to. 1. I have partioned my hard drive into two (C:\ and D:\). Will formatting C:\ affect anything on D:\ - which I'm using to store backup files? I very much doubt it would, but want to be sure... 2. My CD drive is going to die sometime soon. At the moment, it doesn't read some CD's, occasionally reads some, and always reads some. The Windows 95 CD is one it occasionally reads. To make sure I don't have to wait for it, I want to copy the installation files to D:\. Am I right in saying the Win95 directory is all I need to copy?
