cd-rom drive letter

I REFORMATTED MY HARD DRIVE AND TRIED TO INSTALL WIN 95.
AFTER FORMATTING IT BRINGS ME TO THE C: prompt and when i
try to type D: for my CD-ROM IT TELLS ME INVALID DRIVE
SPECIFICATION. ive tried caps and diff letters am i not
typing in the right drive letter to get cd-rom to be
recognized what am i doing wrong please help....thanks

There are no drivers for a CDROM installed after formatting. Furthermore,
the boot disk for win95 did not include drivers.

Your options:
If your CD rom came with an installation disk, you can use it to install the
drivers on the C drive.

You can download a bootdisk from www.bootdisk.com . Boot this disk (which
includes CDROM drivers). I believe the CD drive letter in this case is R:
