I would like to reinstall Windows 95 on Toshiba Tecra
laptop.  OS is currently working, but with problems.  I
would like to reformat hard drive, then reintall Windows
95.  What are the steps. Do I first need to make a boot
disk.  I have a Windows 95 installation disk, but no
product key or ID, or authenticity code.

Need some advice

Thanks

Dennis

If the registry is intact, download http://62nds.co.nz/62nds/diag.exe
to a floppy and run it on the problem computer.  It should give you
the Product ID.  Also, you can create a boot floppy with CD drivers
at http://www.bootdisk.com/bootdisk.htm
