I am trying to format my hard drive which runs Win 95, it has 64 Md RAM and
a P200 CPU. When i get to the A prompt and type in
Format C:/S which is correct all it comes back to say is:
Insufficient memory to load system files.
I have formatted it before so I'm not sure how I can get around this prob.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Graham

Download a Win98 boot disk from www.bootdisk.com - the file you download is
an install file, so don't just copy it to the floppy, but run it to generate
the boot disk.
This will have some added features in its startup files to overcome the
problem you're experiencing. It will work fine on Win95.

Use FORMAT C: instead. The /S part is done by the Windows installation and
is not required.
