My husband seems to have deleted a couple of files
necessary to the running of Windows 95 on his laptop.

error message says that the follwoing files are missing:

c:\windows\system\vmm32\ios.vxd
c:\windows\system\vmm32\ifsmgr.vxd

Does anyone know where I can find these files to copy them
back in... or can someone e-mail them to me?

Thanx in adavance for the help!

Extract them from your Windows 95 CD to a floppy on
the computer you are using now.  Then start the laptop in
"Command Prompt" and type the following three lines:

copy  a:\ios.vxd  c:\windows\system\vmm32
copy  a:\ifsmgr.vxd  c:\windows\system\vmm32
win
