I have an irritating problem, in that when my Windows 95
system starts up it correctly displays all of my selected
icons and displays the Office 97 icons but then displays
the following window :-
"Windows 95 setup"
"Windows is now setting up the following items"
The wallpaper is then modified from my selected version,
nothing else seems to change. It may have occured when I
downloaded the update to accomodate the 'Euro' symbol, but
I cannot be sure of that.
I amend my desktop display each time back to my preferred
wallpaper, but then when I restart the system, the
wallpaper is again amended. Can you please advise where I
can find the default that will enable my selected
wallpaper to be retained?

Start regedit, expand and highlight the following key and
look in the right window for "mdac_runonce".  If you find
it, delete it.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

>FIND WHERE THE BITMAPS OF WALLPAPER ARE STORED. SWITCH
THE NAMES AROUND. THE MACHINE WILL THINK IT IS LOADING THE
ONE YOU DON'T WANT. DON'T TELL THE COMPUTER WHAT YOU DID,
IT WILL NEVER KNOW.
