If you are still trying to replace "ios.vxd" and "ifsmgr.vxd", put the files on a floppy,
start the problem computer in DOS, insert the floppy and type the following two lines:
copy /y a:\ios.vxd c:\windows\system\vmm32
copy /y a:\ifsmgr.vxd c:\windows\system\vmm32
Ben
iv done that but what is happening is that the ifmgr.vxd
file will copy and after its copied it says 1 file copied.
but when i go to copy the ios.vxd file i type out the line
press enter and the screen goes black and just freezes
with nothing on the screen. as for the boot disk, when i
put that in and start the comp i get the msg non-system
disk

I suggest you run Scandisk for Windows in "Thorough" mode
on the floppy. Also, try running Scandisk on the problem
computer.
