Now I know this is going to sound naughty.

I have an ancient PC I am trying to rebuild and a Windows
95 disk. BUT I have lost the magic number it requires to
authorise it. It is in the style XXXXX-oem-XXXXX-XXXXX.

Is there any way I can do the installation?

Many thanks.

As an eaxample

17177-oem-1616167-16167

The number after oem has to be divisible by seven after addingup all
digits.
1+6+1+6+1+6+7 = 28 which is 4*7 !!
