Go to http://www.winzip.com/downwzeval.htm and download
the evaluation version of WinZip.  Find the files you downloaded,
right-click them, select "WinZip", then "Open with WinZip".  When
WinZip opens, extract the "ios.vxd" file.  If you are using the original
version of Windows 95, extract  "ifsmgr.95g".  If you are using OSR2,
extract "ifsmgr.os2".  Rename the "ifsmgr" file to "ifsmgr.vxd", put
both files on a floppy and copy them to the problem computer.
Also, please use "Post Reply" instead of "New Post".

copy  a:\ifsmgr.vxd  c:\windows\system\vmm32
copy  a:\ios.vxd  c:\windows\system\vmm32

Interesting, since your original post said that you were getting
an error message about these files being missing.  If the computer
is freezing in DOS, the system files may be corrupt.  Go to
http://www.bootdisk.com/bootdisk.htm and create a boot floppy
compatible with the system.  Use it to start the computer, type
"sys  c:" and press "Enter".  Then remove the floppy and restart.
If this doesn't help, try running ScanDisk on the C: drive.
