I am attempting to reload window 95 to a pentium II. It
will boot from the a drive, but the CD (which contains w95
will not rum). I think I need a new driver for the CD to
install from the floppy. How do I do this?
HELP?

Dave:
To access the CD drive from the command line you need to load the
software drivers via the CONFIG.SYS and AUTOEXEC.BAT files on the boot
floppy.
The good news is that you can get a pre configured boot disk from:
htp://www.bootdisk.com
The file you download from the site is a utility that will create a
bootable floppy with CD support when run on a working PC. The _version_
of the boot disk is not too important since once you get access to the
CD and start setup the floppy has no further role in the process.

Use one of the tools at www.bootdisk.com to create a boot floppy,
This will include a generic cd-rom driver. These tools generally
make the cd-rom drive into the r: drive.
If your cd-rom drive is less than 8x or 6x speed, it may require
special drivers for the drive or the adapter.

Hi,
You can download the Windows 98 startup disk from the following URL:
www.bootdisk.com
Now, perform the following steps to reload.
1. Boot the compuer using Windows 98 startup disk.
2. Access the Windows 95 CD and reload the operating system.
