I have an old PC - not even sure of brand name with Win95
installed.

For some reason the floppy and cdrom drives won't read the
disks - they don't even show up in explorer - yet in the
device menu they show up as a conflict but looking at the
properties it states they are working correctly and
drivers are loaded.

We have tried all the trouble shooting tips and even
changed over the drives to different ones in case there
was a fault.

I would like to reformat the PC but can't start with a
floppy disk.

Any help would be much appreciated - thank you.

it may be some type of hardware conflict...
try removing all cards (except the video) and see if you can resolve the
conflict
