I inherited an old computer and wanted to spruce it up a little. I really don't want to put too much money into it. I was wondering if I could upgrade from Windows 95 to Windows ME. I read all the system requirements and I believe I can. I had 32MB and upped to 128MB, but My Hard Drive is 2GB. Yeah Laugh! I'm also Thinking on upgrading that as well and would like to know if anyone could help with that as well. This ancient Machine is an ACER ASPIRE(don't know the model). Any suggestions on both the matters would be very helpful.
I have been getting a lot of fatal exception errors, but figured that it was a memory problem and added the memory to it. and one more thing, What is V x D VFAT(01)?

Please help.
Thank You!

although your machine could run windowsME...
most folks say that win98se is actually better

i;d first test the memory
then backup any data you need
and do a fresh install of your OS

a new install of win95 should probably work ok
if your memory is ok...
or else win98se should work well
