I have an older laptop which I recently had to do a
restore on.

I had previously upgraded the original windows 95 to 98
second edition.

After  successfully restoring I am now at the setup point
which is asking me for the original oem form windows 95
which is lost years ago. I still have my 98 upgrade disc
which I intend on using but I cant get pass the 95 setup
screen without the original oem number. HELP.  How do I
obtain a number.

You should not be installing Windows 95.  Clear the disk and start again
with the Windows 98 installation CD.  Part way through the install it will
ask you to insert the W95 CD to prove you are eligible to be using the
upgrade version.
