Application start-up hangs in Win98

One APP, WMP7.1 launches, shows up in the Task Manager,
but there is no WMP7.1 screen and nothing in the Task Bar.

It's obviously hanging up somewhere. How do I find out
where? This only happens with WMP7.1.

I've tried multiple uninstalls and reinstalls, but nada.

Ideas?

This is a Win95 group....if you are using Win95, it does not support WMP7x....WMP 6.4 is the latest version you can use on Win95.
