will putting 98 on wipeout

i have a compaq armada4131t and it only has 95 0n it will
it wipe out all my files and programs only reason is
because i dont have a way of saveing them

Not if you get a full retail or upgrade CD. From either of those you
can upgrade your Win95 installation to Win98 preserving your data and
programs. Do yourself a favor and upgrade to Win98SE, not Win98. Many
peripherals and much software specify Win98SE as a minimum
requirement.

Avoid OEM CDs since these will not upgrade an existing system. Also
stay away from the Win98SE Update CD. That only switches a Win98
system to Win98SE, it won't work on your Win95 system.
