I just updated my directx from 4.0 to 8.0 on my laptop.
Now i cant open windows media player. I keep getting the
message "The QUARTZ.DLL file is linked to missing export
RPCRT4.DLL:NdrStubCall2". It also says "C:/Program
Files\Windows Media Player\mplayer2.exe A device attached
to the system is not functioning." Anybody know how to fix
this so I can listen to my music again. Any help is very
much appreciated.

Thanks, John
