Problem running regedit

When running regedit, I get error msg "Memory access
violation in module kernel32 at .... Anybody know what's
wrong and how to fix it? Thanks.

I suggest that you rerun Windows' setup program, reinstalling Windows
on top of the current installation. Setup can sometimes repair serious
faults.
