Suddenly I am unable to read previously formatted floppies with data
previously written on them computer #1.  These disks can be read on an
alternative computer.
When inserted in the floppy drive #1 I get the error message "Disk Not
Formatted"; if I now reformat the disk I can save data to that Disk and
re-read that information.
Now if I take these reformated disks (made on computer #1) to an alternate
computer that computer can't read these newly made  floppies; again I get
the message "Disk Not Formatted".
It appears as if computer #1 has aquired a different formatting to the
alternate computer.
Is it possible that the Floppy Disk Recording/Reading head in computer #1
has become mis-aligned?

Yes, that's the most likely cause.

Thank you Tim, I was hesitating to believe that the Head could possibly
become dislodged.
