Please help. I have just been given a computer which runs
windows 95. Every time I close an internet page I get the
following message:this program has performed an illegal
operation and will be shut down

IEXPLORE caused an invalid page fault in
module <unknown> at 0000:01071705.

I have no idea what this means and would appreciate
a "fool proof guide" on how to prevent this happening.

Hope to hear from someone soon.

A high possibility is spyware or similar parasites.
Try Ad-Aware: http://www.lavasoftusa.com/
(get updates immediately after installation)
