I try to run a program but i keep getting DLL file HID.DLL
was not found.  How can I get this file

When did this start? Did you, by chance, just install a new mouse or other
pointing device? Is it the ame program all the time, or any program? Can you
give more details about the problem and its history?

The earliest version of Windows to have HID.DLL native was Win98.
Microsoft's DLL database doesn't show that it ever came with any other
product besides an operating system. It may be that you don't need it. The
question remains, though, of what is trying to launch it.
