Desktop too large

I'm new to the computer thing. Somehow I've gotten my
desktop icons and lettering in a large mode. I want it
changed back. I can't seem to find out where I was or how
to get it back to normal. Can anyone give me a little
assistance?

Right-click a blank part of the desktop and choose properties then settings.
Move the Screen area slider one notch to the right.
