Does anyone know if just copying WS2_32.DLL to the system folder
will enable the installation/execution of Ad-Aware (and, perhaps,
SpyBot)? Would this interfere with the operation of the currently
installed winsock?

IOW, I want to be able to use Ad-Aware (in Win 4.00.950), but do
not want to upgrade my winsock.

I don't know. But it would be easy enough to test without risk. Perhaps
you'd be like to test it and let us know?
