Need a to do list on how to upgrade W95 to W98
I have an upgrade CD W98,  I think 1st addition?
Have a 133 MH, 64MG, W95a, with 1GB free space on HD.

I am told that there are files/folders etc  that should be
renamed/protected,  prior to doing update? Do not know which ones.
Any help will be appreciated, thank you.

The ugrade should be trouble-free. Just follow the instructions on the
packaging.

Nor do I. In my experience, such files do not exist. The upgrade CD
preserves everything that your need to preserve.

However, (1) everyone should always have backups of their key files on
floppy disks or another harddisk -- letters, spreadsheets, financial
records, reports, address lists, and (2) I believe everyone should use
a product such as ConfigSafe that retains a backup of the operating
system and allows one to revert to a prior state if something goes
wrong.
