It's been ages since I've worked on a Windows 95 machine,
but I remember years ago working on Win95 PC's that
powered off once the Windows splash screen was displayed
during startup.  I can't remember what the fix was.  I've
looked through all the config.sys, autoexec.bat,
system.ini, win.ini files and the Windows drectory for
any indication of a program that was loaded and is
executing on startup that immediately powers off the PC.
Does anyone out there remember this problem (virus,
trojan, program, etc. that does this?).  Any help would
be appreciated.
