Windows Forum / Windows 95 / March 2004Unable to get to windows 96 website
This is the site that I wanted to get to. When you click on it nothing happens but the hour glass. When it does stop it comes up with an error that says the site is unavailable. With my computer this is the last operating system that will work on it. If you wanted to pursue further, I'd examine security settings in your browser, clogged temporary file caches, and the possibility of parasites on your computer. It seems, though, that you have gotten what you need from it. A retail copy of Win98 - either a Full or Update edition - can be installed atop Win95 as an upgrade. Often a clean upgrade is better, but I'm a big supporter of trying the upgrade first to see if it satisfies you. You can always format and install clean later if you want.
