Hi All!
Was given the above adapter (PCI) [MX400] as a freebee to
install in an M571 mobo (with on-board SiS 5597/8 video).
Having uninstalled the Sis drivers and altered the BIOS
accordingly, Win95a boots up to almost completion then the
splash screen turns to a blue/white 'smear' and video
freezes.  Rebooting to generate a "bootlog.txt" then
rebooting again into "safe" mode to see what happened
would appear the freeze happened as all the fonts are
about to load... deviceload fail error 16.  I have tried
re-installing the NVidia drivers several times (sometimes
with the effect of making the PC reboot from the start in
the middle of booting up as an endless cycle!) each time
having to go into "safe" mode to uninstall them.

Any ideas?  Have I got wrong version drivers (too early or
too late [ver 21.83]) for Windows 95a ('though the drivers
disk says for W95/98)?  Is my W95 version (95a) too early
for NVidia?

Cheers for any help!  Thanx.

when you are in safe mode ..check in control panel under display,  you may
have more than one video card in there.

delete all the video cards , reboot and let windows redect your new card.

double check your BIOS to sure "onboard video " is disabled .

the drivers look to be ok at a glance

hope that helps
