Windows Forum / Windows 95 / March 2004Windows Protection Error
Hello I'm installing Windows95. After all of the system files are copied, system restarts. Just after the message "you are about to run the Windows for the first tieme", at the top of the next screen, I'm getting a message "While Initializing device IOS Windows protection error. You need to restart your computer. When I do, same thing. When I try to boot in a "safe mode", I'm getting the same message as well I would appreciate any input, any suggestion...I'm desperate! My Windows98 is OEM upgrage. That's why I need to install 95, and then 98.
