My grandson (fooling around) password protected my old Micron PC and now I
can't logon period.....!

He has no idea what he used for a password.

Can anyone help?

Thanks.

Assuming this is the Windows 95 password, press esc to get past
the login screen.  Then delete all of the .pwl files.  It will
ask for a username and password on the next startup, leave the
password blank if you don't want one.

If this is a network password go to Start, Settings, Control
Panel, Network, and change the login choice to Windows login and
then follow the directions above.

If this is a BIOS password, remove the power, remove the battery
and wait for the CMOS to discharge.  There may be a jumper that
could be shorted to clear the CMOS, the location of this depends
on the motherboard.
