Hello all! I am trying to upgrade a laptop from Win95 to Win98 SE.
How do I configure a WD USB Hard Drive into the system? I would like to copy
all needed files onto the External drive, then do a clean install of Win98.
The device manager shows a "Root USB Hub", but nothing happens when
the USB cable is inserted into the port.  I can't (don't know how) configure
the
drive so that it is seen by the system.
Any help will be appreciated.
TIA

Unfortunately win95B/C does not have very good USB support and your external
drive probably won't work until after the upgrade.

What you can do, is put all data you want to keep in one folder
then delete the rest. as long as you do not format your drive you can still
do a clean install...but still keep your data

Hello!  I am trying to move my old files from my Win 95
machine to my XP machine, and I have tried just about
everything.

Today I tried to use a SanDisk card hooked in to my USB
port on my Windows 95 machine, but it is not finding all
of the drivers.  It's looking for "delentry.exe" and
others.  Yes, I have the USB supplement exe file on my
computer.

Any ideas how to get my USB to work on my Windows 95
machine?

Thanks!

Nora
