when i put in my boot disk to reformat my win 95 it reads the floppy and comes up to the c prompt.  what do i enter to get it to read the cd drive with the win 95 disk in it?  i tried, run, setup, format, and none worked.  i tried changing the drive to D: but it changes it and then changes back immediately.  any ideas?  thank you

Windows 95 bootdisks do not ordinarily include cd-rom drivers.
The easiest way to create such a floppy is to use one of the
utilities on www.bootdisk.com to make a bootdisk.  Unless you
have a proprietary controller or cd-rom drive this will give a
boot floppy that will make the cd-rom drive drive r:

P.S., If you are going to the c: prompt then your computer is not
booting from the floppy drive.  You will need to make a change in
your BIOS settings to boot from a floppy.
