I was working on a friend's system that has Win 95.  I put
it into safe mode per insructions: shutdown/restart/ F8 at
starting windows.  I then ran a thorough scandisk test.
When I got back about 10 hours later the computer wouldn't
start.  Any suggestions?

Thanks

I would try reinstalling into the current Windows folder, and if that
failed, I would try reinstalling into a new empty folder.
