cannot open an msWord file...

hello,
windows 95b (do not have msWord or msOffice etc. --i do have wordpad and
notepad:-)
cannot open a file which is the following:
Name: <fileName>  v6ws.doc
Type: Download File (application/msword)
Encoding: base64
Description: <fileName> v6ws.doc
(negative with my av)
wordPad: shows some text, squares and hieroglyphs
notePad: shows the same.
conversions plus (very old) displays nothing
i.e. 5.x shows same as wordpad.
i would appreciate any help

please disregard .. resolved with WD97VW32.EXE

Try the free Word readers available from Microsoft
